Soft Porn or Good Natured Fun? You Be the Judge
My co-worker sent me this as “blogger fodder”. Some of you may want to watch this in the privacy of your own home as there could be “side-effects” to viewing this.
Personally, I think she looks hot and could do porn if she wanted to…. oh, my co-worker corrects me and says anybody could do porn…. True, but not everyone shoud…there are icky porn starts (Ron Jeremy) and there are not so icky porn starts..a la Jenna Jameson….
I don’t think everyone should be so uptight about it – the target demographic is pretty obvious. Maybe it shouldn’t be shown during “family prime time”…. Paris is certainly going to take this publicity all the way to the bank as if she needed it.
I don’t know why this country is so afraid of sex….this is how we come to breastfeeding being thought of as a something that should be done in private as if one should be ashamed of it. Now, I am not the militant type whipping my boob out everywhere, I try to be considerate and discreet. By I don’t think it would be a big deal if we celebrated sexuality and our bodies.

Wow, I think you missed an opportunity to opine on some pretty fundamental and relevant issues. One of the reasons people read your “blog-ette” is to get your sophomoric but often Middle-America-insightful take on current events.
What, no thoughtful discussion of the mutual co-exploitation of Paris and Carl’s Jr. in the context of the evolving Womens’ Lib movement?
No deep analysis of the contrasting forces of freedom of expression and moral decency and what the media uproar over this commercial says about our current socio-political climate?
Instead we get “she’s hot” and a treatise on breastfeeding in public. Come on, you’ve got to try harder.

Your point is noted, however I wasn’t moved enough by this story to pontificate in the manner you describe.
I think it is just the same song of the religous right looking for ANYTHING even remotely immoral to organize against. I mean, there was the “gay” Teletubby and more recently Sponge Bob Square Pants.
Speaking of Women’s Lib – isn’t my “treatise” to breastfeeing part of that? Women are fighting for rights in all aspects of their lives. I want the right to function as a mother and feed my baby where ever I need to without being made to feel ashamed by it. I think the movement is evolving to be more then rights in the workplace.
Anyway, sorry that I couldn’t provide more interesting fodder for you, but at this time I don’t have the desire or energy to do so. Perhaps on a different day or on a different topic I can satisfy your interest in my sophmoric views straight our of middle america…

Wow, hostile and anonymous – got some issues you need to work out? Enjoy what Alyssa’s sharing and if you think something needs discussing, bring it up. Until then, learn some respect and try to earn some.

Perhaps we should instead discourse on the insular feeling created by online anonymity, and its detrimental effect on common courtesy and the willingness to have respect for freedom of self-expression and opinion.
If you would like to share your views on Paris’ role in compounding the objectification of women in society or the moral decay of America, please, go ahead. It could spark an interesting discussion. But I would request that you don’t flame our hostess for not giving Paris eating a burger in her bathing suit the same kind of weighty analysis that you would choose to.
