Quinn took a few photos while we were bowling last weekend. Have I mentioned just how much the kids love to bowl? Tyler beat all of us scoring 2 games over 100! There is a great deal at our neighborhood bowling alley on Sundays – $7 for 2.5 hours of unlimited bowling and it includes shoes. That is $28 for 2.5 hours of fun – great deal for a family of four!

This time Grandma Havel joined us. When I was a kid, my parents had their own bowling balls and were in a league. So it was good to get her our bowling again.

I also have to post these two shots I took this day. One of a cool design Tyler make with buttons and another of the the kids with their treasure bags filled with coins ready to go and spend it.

There are a lot of normal days around here, but so much cool stuff happens during those normal days.

The kids got a bunch of “bendy” straws and masking tape and made stuff. Tyler was very proud of his “trident”. He also took a coffee cup sleeve, taped some straws to it and made some kind of claw thing. Then I got out a cardboard box and Quinn and Tyler made the place quite cozy. I love looking back at these pictures when it is night and the house is quiet. With nothing else to distract me, I am able to fully appreciate their play and creativity.

Later on the kids put on Daddy’s shirts and had quite a good time swinging in them.

Later on that day we had crafts. We made Thanksgiving candles. This one is mine. Our fall nature table looking quite cheerful with the addition of some lovely flowers from a friend And finally, Tyler found my camera and took some pics of Quinn hiding behind her bank.

Some days I get so busy, I forget about all the magic and small moments. I am trying to change that. After all, that is one big reason I stay home.

To create harmony, I gave Quinn my camera. I have done this before and they have shot pictures, but this is the first time that she has literally held down the button to take a picture. We came home with 180 shots. In fact, when placed quickly you could see the road going by, the cars…it was funny. So I did just that. Created a quick movie. It is uneventful, not very exciting – just what a drive home should be.

I think this was Tyler because one picture had Quinn’s legs in them, so she couldn’t have been taking the pics. I love this set – the sun is just up and lighting everything so beautifully. I love seeing this part of the day through my son’s eyes.

I love the dead plant! Yes, the summers here create quite the wasteland around our house. And to think I am planning a giant garden for next year…

Another lovely installment of Kids with Camera! Tyler had the camera this time. Interesting to see what he documented around the house. Of course, what cracks me up is that this journey always ends up in the same place – taking pictures of the cats under the bed.

I assume it is something very exciting for them -taking pictures of the elusive cats to prove to the world that they exist even though no one has ever seen them. The cats are clearly thrilled with this – you can see it in the joyful expressions on their faces!

We have another installment of “Kids with the camera” for you. This one brought to you by Quinn. As always I am thankful when the photograph their feet – makes it so much easier to see whose eyes we are seeing through! I think I am going to dig back into my archives to find more of these to post – they are totally cracking me up!

Ya know, I sometimes don’t pay attention to all these shots, but I am starting to because they are truly hilarious. I think I need to back through my files and pull out some more. To see what they decide to take pictures of cracks me up. Most fun is that I don’t always know when they have walked off with my camera, so downloading often has some fun and hilarious surprises for me.

Our two cats are very shy and pretty much live under the bed. Since the kids don’t get to snuggle them as much, they love to take pictures of them. Tyler’s foot makes an appearance as well – I think this was his camera shoot this time. I don’t always know!!
