In the tornado….

I haven’t blogged in a while, although, I have wanted to several times. Usually, I am not near a computer, have a baby in my hands or and too tired. I want to blog everyday about all the new and cute things that Tyler does. We are planning for this vacation and our floor project and life has just been incredibly hectic. To add to the craziness, Tyler came down with croup, I am freaking out that there are problems with our foundation that could affect the wood floors we want to put in, and Chris is experiencing craziness at work that may cause us to postpone the trip by one day. I haven’t had a decent nights sleep in over a week and am just exhausted.

It has been crazy. It is so hard to muster the emotianal energy to handle all the curve balls as well as the energy to interact with my child. This was evident when we picked up my Mom from the aiport yesterday. She had been in Pennsylvania for a little R&R while Dad stayed with us. Tyler was pretty cranky…my Mom arrives and has him laughing and smiling for two hours. More laughing then he is probably done in days. Made me feel a bit guilty, so I am trying a little harder today.

He is feeding the dog Cheerios right now. Chase is licking his hand which will, of course, go back into his mouth. Chris would kill me, but oh well. Apparently, our homes are too clean these days and that is harmful to our children because they build no immunity. As much as my child gets sick, he should be building immunity in spades.

Anyway, I need to go wipe all the yams off his face and end the feeding frenzy. Take care…

Man on the move…

October 2nd, 2005 by Alyssa

Tyler is pretty fast on the crawl – both Chris and I have had our fair share of “Where’s Tyler?” moments! When he spies something that he wants, he definitely knows how to step on the gas!!

Geez – he just mastered crawling and now he is starting to pull up on things a bit!! The skills just start coming so fast! We are enjoying the current happy streak since he has crawling down. Once he is focused on standing, I am sure we will enter another frustration period full of lots of “bonking”. I am surprised his mood has been so good given that his two front teeth are finally cutting through. He has been waking up a lot at night though – and that may have something to do with it.

He is as cute as ever and we are having a blast with him. He is starting to follow me around which is hilarious. Or if I am in a different room, he may come over to see what I am up to. I love all the interaction with him and his endless curiosity. Good times all around!
