I am sure most people would gag at a 30 year-old saying they feel “young” again.. Saturday night my parents were in town, so Chris and I took advantage and went out for a late-night “adult” meal with our friends Susan and Sammy. Susan’s Mom was at home watching Piper.

We went to Z Tejas in Downtown Austin. Let me tell you - I am out of practice with alcohol. 3/4 a glass of margarita and I was buzzing pretty good. Granted I hadn’t eaten. I can’t even remember the last time I had a good buzz going. I REALLY needed that buzz.. We enjoyed an amazing meal and later walked to Amy’s for some ice cream. Chris and I didn’t get back home until midnight. We did pay for our little outing the next day, but it was totally worth it!! I felt like and adult again - it was almost as if we were naughty and snuck out! I think we will definitely do that again… Thank goodness for grandparents….

I was having a crappy Memorial Weekend up until that point - this outing made the whole weekend, then things got even better Monday….that post coming soon..

Tyler “officially” sucked on his toe yesterday. He grabbed that foot, shoved it right in his mouth, and sucked on his yummy toe. I assume it was yummy - he seemed to enjoy it anyway….. :-p

Personally, I think she looks hot and could do porn if she wanted to…. oh, my co-worker corrects me and says anybody could do porn…. True, but not everyone shoud…there are icky porn starts (Ron Jeremy) and there are not so icky porn starts..a la Jenna Jameson….

I don’t think everyone should be so uptight about it - the target demographic is pretty obvious. Maybe it shouldn’t be shown during “family prime time”…. Paris is certainly going to take this publicity all the way to the bank as if she needed it.

I don’t know why this country is so afraid of sex….this is how we come to breastfeeding being thought of as a something that should be done in private as if one should be ashamed of it. Now, I am not the militant type whipping my boob out everywhere, I try to be considerate and discreet. By I don’t think it would be a big deal if we celebrated sexuality and our bodies.

Tired today….went to bed at 11:30pm and then Tyler was up at 12:30am. Too tired to nurse him, I took him upstairs which was a bad move. I just can’t sleep well when he is in bed anymore. I am a tosser and a turner. Can’t do that with a little baby, especially one that will skootch over to mommy wherever he is. Couldn’t put him in the co-sleeper as I need to wash the sheets and the cats had been in there. Don’t need Tyler breathing in kitty hair! We don’t need anymore furballs coughed up in this house!

Also forgot that I had a high school graduation to go to on Friday. My second Friday night without the baby and I will again be doing stuff for other people. I need to go as this is part of a commitment I made 4 years ago. Of course if I had that night to myself I would use it to clean up the house or comlete some other to-dos, so I shouldn’t whine. This will be more relaxing and is a triumphant moment for the grad that I am fortunate enough to be a part of. It will be fine once I am there and I know I will enjoy it…

The weekend will be fabulous as well. We get Monday off and I am taking Tuesday as well. Sunday we will be grilling at my brother’s and Tyler will get his first experience in a swimming pol. I just need to get through these next few days. Tyler and I leave for San Antonio today since I have a business meeting in town. I wil hang out there through Friday AM and my parents will come to Austin with Tyler Saturday. The nice thing about being at my folks is that my Mom cooks for me and I don’t have all these to-dos starting me in the face. To completely relax I really have to be away from my house….

So there you have my life for the next couple of days. I have a lot to get done today, so I will scoot on our of here..

I just have to post and say that I am so head-over heels in love for my husband. After so many years together, it isn’t old or boring. These days I am FAR from glamorous - I don’t always have the time I would like to primp and make myself pretty. But he still finds me attractive. The other day it hit me that he is really is love with ME….he doesn’t see my outside - he sees ME. That is just the coolest feeling… all gussied up or looking like a train wreck - he still wants ME.

Of course, looking like a train wreck is not a bar I set for myself. I received a gift certificate to a day spa and am thinking a little pedicure and massage is in order. Additionally, I really need to get my butt in the gym and get rid of this last 8 pounds or so that keep me from enjoying my existing wardrobe. I am tired, but I could do it - I could find the energy - just need a little kick in my fanny…. anyone? some help here? :-p

Well, Tyler was with my folks this past Saturday and my Mom successfully got Tyler to eat pears! Chris and I just finished feeding his more this evening. He actually opens his mouth and kind of roots for the spoon a little bit. His little hands reach out for the spoon a pulls it towards him! We will be doing pears for a few days and then move on to bananas!! Our little boy is growing up!
