Hello everyone. I was taking a look at our friend, Laura’s web site, and laugh that a few days absence from blogging is considered slacking off….. It has been what….a month and a half since we made an entry? I have to be honest that I have never been good at journaling. I guess I sometimes feel like no one is reading anyway….then again if you never make an entry, why would someone come to your site? I guess it is the whole, “build it and they will come thing.” Then again it could also be that I don’t do much when no one is looking.

Life has been busy in the best way! Chris and I just got our house painted - it looks sooo good!! We have been needing to do it for a while so it feels good to have it checked off the list. If anyone needs a contractor - our guys were awesome!! Also, my parter in just about everything these days, Jackie, and I are taking a woodworking class. We actually built picnic tables last week!! We built them once with the instructor and then had to do another set without his help (he still helped out quite a bit!). Anyway - we orchestrated a “Battle of the Sexes” competition and we won!! Woo-hoo!

The thing that KILLS me these days is that I have so much I want to do and no time to do it all. Such a bummer. I am too young to have learned the lesson about trying to be a superwoman - of course, when I finally have kids I will have to learn that lesson fast. At any rate it feels good to have all these projects about which I am passionate. Although the ONE thing that I want to do more of is reading - and for whatever reason - I have trouble finding time for that. With all this crazy stuff going on in the world - I want to learn more about it. I think that our country is setting a SCARY precedent for foreign policy. As Jon Stewart on the Daily Show joked that Rumsfield has a “Get Off My Lawn approach to foreign policy”. By the way - if you have never watched The Daily Show it is one of the best satirical news shows I have ever seen. It is so smart!! I have started taping bits of it ‘cuz I get at least one good laugh every night. The show can be viewed on Comedy Central every night at 10PM. Okay - I have to get going. Much to do and it is already 10PM. Bye!
